Contrary to my desire, I found out we were supposed to have a pastors conference today in Sidindi, but was informed it ended up being cancelled after we arrived last night. We decided we were still here for a purpose regardless of mans failed plan. Boy was I right.
As we were headed to Lawrence’s family homestead, where my Kenyan parents live, we ran into a pastor, whom I met the last time I was here who knew nothing about the conference. He told us of a fellowship meeting he and several of the other pastors were hosting. We discovered none of the other pastors were involved or invited to the conference. They all remembered me from before and wondered where I had been, since it had been 2 years. We exhorted, encouraged and rekindled relationships.
When we returned to the homestead 3 other pastors were waiting for us. They heard the conference was cancelled, but when they found out I was in the village they made the journey any way. It was a great time of impartation and planning for future meetings and fellowships.
There is more I want to write, but it is late and we are headed to Eldoret in the morning to visit orphans and widows.
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the LORD that will stand. ~ Proverbs 19:21
